Dear LaBovick Law Group Community,

We hope you and your family are staying safe and healthy during this challenging time for all of us. We are lucky so far and our entire team is healthy and running at 110%. The coronavirus (COVID-19) has not taken a health toll on us. But we are being vigilant in trying to stay safe. Unfortunately, as the coronavirus continues to spread we most certainly will learn about friends and family who become infected or severely ill. LaBovick Law Group is committed to doing all that we can to support our team, our clients and our broader community through what is a stressful and sometimes overwhelming time.

We will continue to follow the guidance and advice of the Florida State Health Dept. We will work closely with the Palm Beach County Courts, the Florida Workers’ Compensation Administration, and the Social Security Administration to continue pushing our clients’ claims forward. We are posting information on our website: www.LaBovick.com to keep you informed.

If you have a fever or symptoms of respiratory illness, such as a cough or shortness of breath, you should immediately call your healthcare provider and also read about how to handle having Coronavirus symptoms on the Palm Beach Health website: https://discover.pbcgov.org/pages/COVID19.aspx

It is important that you get good information and guidance. We suggest you do not visit a healthcare facility before calling to find out the exact protocol used by your healthcare provider. Each provider is creating safe systems to use at this time. Don’t show up without calling to ask about your doctor’s COVID-19 safety system. If you are feeling sick, we encourage you to stay in your home. But even if you feel great you must continue to practice social distancing.

Everyone is reminded to stay home and away from people, in accordance with Florida Health’s orders. If you must meet people in person, it is essential that you remember to spread out. Wash your hands before and after any human contact. Use remote mechanisms and technology whenever possible. There is a multitude of platforms available for free which can be used on almost every mobile device. These platforms, like House party, Zoom, Cliq, GoToMeeting.com and many others can be used to arrange group meetings on the fly. They are simple, intuitive, and free. Go figure them out or call someone who may be familiar who can walk you through one of these platforms.

Always follow these practices:

  • Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds; dry hands with a clean towel or air-dry hands. Set up protocols to do this more than once or twice a day. Every time you go to the bathroom, every time you go into a kitchen, every time you go out of your house to pick up a package or get the mail. Every time you are about to leave your house, and every time you enter your house after leaving your house, put your jacket away and wash your hands.
  • Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer when soap and water are unavailable.
  • Cover your mouth with a tissue or sleeve when sneezing or coughing. Stay far away from people if you need to either sneeze or cough. Try to stay away from any surface that would gather any part of a sneeze or cough so that you keep surfaces around you safe.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands. This is almost impossible to do. It takes both discipline and a change of habit. By keeping hand sanitizer close you’ll be able to quickly spray your hands and then touch your face when you need to.
  • Stay home as much as possible. But if you are sick or if you have any symptoms at all, you must be socially responsible and stay away from people.
  • Avoid contact with people who are sick.
  • Clean “high-touch” surfaces 3x/daily. These include counters, tabletops, doorknobs, light switches, bathroom fixtures, toilets, phones, keyboards, desks, and tablets.

We understand that there are many questions and concerns as we navigate this extraordinary moment in our history, and we are here to help in any way we can. We will continue to work closely with the various court systems at the city, state and federal level to manage your claim as these challenges continue. We will also share information as we are able.

Stay safe! Stay Healthy! Keep the faith that America will quickly overcome these challenges.
