Include a Whistleblower Protection for Environment Law Breakers

Dear Fellow Qui Tam attorneys, Future Whistleblowers and Friends:

Please help us support wildlife preservation and support the creation of Environmental Qui Tam Whistleblower Laws to help bring to justice those bad actors who would pollute and kill off our planets natural resources.

Tomorrow, on August 31, President Obama is going to speak to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) World Conservation Congress on tomorrow.  This is an opportunity for the USA to define a clear priority of our country and the world to follow us in our need to protect the environment.  As Qui Tam attorneys in Florida, we have organized (through the National Whistleblowers Center in Washington) a way to push an agenda to include a whistleblower (Qui Tam) protection for environment lawbreakers.  Please go to Take Action Now!

U.S. Assistant Attorney General John C. Cruden, at the Department of Justice, Environment & Natural Resources Division supports the need to reward whistleblowers.  If the US is serious about stopping what we can all “wildlife crime” we must create a way to incentivize whistleblowers to come forward.  Cruden’s World Wildlife Day speech last March set out the important considerations regarding environmental damages which need whistleblower intervention and assistance to bring in violators.  For example, he stated that we need people to report illegal trash dumping into the ocean by cruise ships and cargo ships just before the ship gets to a US Port or US-run facility.  Other examples are wildlife traffickers.  I just returned from Africa.  Trafficking in illegal animals and animal parts is alive and well and so very difficult to control. Only by creating an incentive to report the behavior can the behavior be curtailed.   Cruden admitted the US is literally “… dependent on others to bring information to our attention . . . Whistleblowers are so important to us, [and we need to be] honoring and protecting those individuals, and compensating those individuals…”

Let’s act now!  We need to ensure that the future of environmental protection includes whistleblowers.

Please join us and take action NOW!
