ATV Safety Tips

From the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)

An activity that involves high speeds and heavy equipment, such as All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) can cause severe injuries and sometimes death. The CPSC came up with a few practical safety tips for ATV drivers. We encourage you to exercise caution, safety and awareness when riding an ATV and also seek out information on new laws regulating the safe use of an ATV in your State.

  •  Always wear a helmet and use other protective gear when using an ATV
  •  Take the necessary training and safety courses  prior to using an ATV
  •   Do Not Allow Children to ride or use Adult ATVs
  •   Do Not drive with a passenger on an ATV
  •   Do Not ride as a passenger on an ATV
  •   Do Not ride an ATV on pavement (paved roads)
  •   Do Not ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs
